crafting galore

I have been crafting up a storm. I made 18 ornaments, 16 coco holders, 4 gift card holders, a folding album and I am working on a hanging frame and an advent calender. Fee www... I am getting tired. I am glad that things are going to slow down after Christmas.

I was really excited with all my creations. I know its late to share my ideas but I want you to see what I have been working on and why I haven't been blogging. I am sure that everyone has been busy with their own preparation but this year I have tired because I have to be Santa all by myself :(  .... wish I was able to share this time with my hubby but none the less Christmas and the wonder of Santa must go on. So here are my latest creations.

The first thing I will show you is my ornaments. I made snowflakes by cutting 3 1/3 snowflakes using a snowflake off of the Accent Essentials cricut cartridge. Then I ran them through my cuttlebug with a polka dot embossing folder. I glued them all together, put on a little glitter and presto beautiful ornaments....

The next ornaments that I made were very easy and turned out beautiful as well. I got a pack of six glass ornaments at Micheal's ($2.49) Then I chose some Christmas designer paper cut it at 6x12 then cut 1/2 inch strips. I curled them with a paint brush and then stuck them inside the ornaments. Here is a few finished ones. They were hard to take pictures of so I am not sure the pictures do them justice. Let me know what you think?

The next thing I will share is the gift card holders that I made. The first one is made out a pop top tin can that once held fruit. I used a pampered chef can opener and opened the non pop top end. Then I inserted the G.C. and glued the lid ( well really the bottom) back on. Then I decorated them with designer paper. These are a more inventive way to give a gift card. The snowman on the one is a free digital stamp from Meljens Designs. They have a bunch of free stamps so check out her blog.

Money Holders

I was proud of myself because this is an original idea. I used the stocking on the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge. I cut 2 stockings at 6 inches in red. Then used the stocking <shift> to cut the heal, toe and top in green. Then I cut the top off of one of the stockings. That socking goes in front. Then I placed the folded money inside to see the area I would admit the glue.  I hope that makes sense. I would have done a how to with pictures but it was last minute idea.

Folding Album

This is one thing I scrap-lifed from a picture. I really like it. I made this for my friend to give as a gift for her sister-in-law. Let me know what you think!

I don't know how to flip this sorry!

Well I hope that you enjoyed my crazy crafting I have been doing. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I am off for more crafting and some gift wrapping.

Merry Christmas!

Hope your evening ends Scrapily Ever After....

Christmas ornaments

Christmas ornaments have been talkig over my life.:) I have been using my cricut to make these beautiful snowflake ornaments. I had to cut out 100!We used these snowflakes for our youth groups babysitting night ,which was so much fun, and I am making the for a family cookie exchange we are having. I will post directions and pictures when I get home. I am also using glass ornaments and Designer paper to create ornaments. They are fairly easy to make and inexpensive. I purchased them at Micheal's for $2.50 for a box of six. I hope you have time to try them out!

Yesterday my daughter and I made buddy mix. It is chocolate and sugar covered chex cereal. yummy. I am going to post a video we made up when I am at home. She had so much fun. I love this age. It is so much fun to see someone appreciate and take joy in all the little things in life. Just even driving around town looking at Christmas lights is such a fun thing to do. Children really help you to take a step back and realize what life is all about:)

Well I off to spend the day with my mother shopping and finishing up on the ornaments.:)

Hope your day ends scrappily ever after!

Lazy days

Today was a very lazy day for this family. Even our dog Emma was just lounging around. I did get lots of cleaning and organizing my scraping supplies today. I have been trying to figure out the best way to organize my stickers but I have been trying out tons of ideas and nothing really suites me so we will see how this one does. I GOT AND IPAD! Can you tell I'm excited. My loving hubby sent it to me for my Christmas present! My daughter and I have had lots of fun playing on it and figuring it out how to work the thing. It is really cool. I love that I can take it all over the house with me very easily. Love it! Oh and one more thing about it and then I'm done... this is what my husband engraved on the back : DSY+RDY= Love+AIY. His initials, my initials, love plus our daughter's initials....isn't that the cutest thing ever!

I was sad that I didn't get to blog yesterday but my parents and I took the little one to Sweet Lights at Hershey park. It was amazing. She was almost falling asleep by the time we got there because she had no nap yesterday :( busy day yesterday. When we got there she was totally awake and loved it.

Well today I actually did a little scraping. I am working on a project for our church youth group to complete with the younger kids on babysitting night. My brother is in charge and reached out for help from his very crafty mother and sister :) I am always glad to help. I made this cute little cocoa holder for my mom's work Christmas party. They are so adorable.  Thanks to Mary at Cardz TV for this adorable idea. So here is what we are doing....

These are much more simple then the ones I did for my mom. Those had snowman toppers and they were cut out and separate from the sentiment. We also added a chocolate dipped spoon and a candy cane. These we wanted to keep simple for the kids. This is such a cute little gift or favor for the holidays. Well I better get back to scrapping. I am going to be making snowflake ornaments for the kids to make and also making them for a cookie exchange my sister in law is having. Stay tuned for pictures and instructions for those :)

I just started checking out a blog hop. Came across this blog candy. Check it out... Thanks Scrapping  Mommy

Hope your evening ends scrappily ever after!

Wonderful Day

Good Evening Everyone,

I am so excited to see that I have a few followers. Thank you for your support. Of course one of them is my BFF... Thanks Di! Today was a great day. I kept my little one home from daycare because the weather was so terrible but despite the horrible weather outside we had a great day. Today we make this book for my husband from Abrielle. He is in Iraq for all of you that don't know. He has been there since March. We miss him terribly. This holiday season has been tough since he is away but we wanted to make sure that he is well aware that we miss him lots. My daughter colored this book I found. The awesome thing about this book is that you can record a message inside of it. So she said ( very loudly) " Merry Christmas! I love you" Just enough to melt your heart!

We made that and put in in his package. I hope that he likes this one... it might be hard to top the thanksgiving package. I sent him a " Thanksgiving dinner" canned turkey, corn, cranberry sauce and microwaveable mashed potato ( yummy i know ... lol) But this package has gingerbread cookies, pictures, Christmas cards, some food, and fake snow. I wanted to get him something to make him feel like home. I know that over in the dessert he is going to be missing snow. I can't wait to see him open it! Well I did not get to get any scapbooking done today since we had other errands to complete.

I did want to share a card a made a couple weeks ago for my neices. These cards feature the first two svg files that I made myself. I create the kitten and the heart with wings.  I would love to link them so you could download them but I am not sure how to do that yet. I really have to learn how to do more things on the blog. If anyone has any tips on how to post files for people to download please let me know. Thanks :)

Hope you enjoy the cards! Let me know what you think.

Hope your evening ends Scrappily Ever After ;)

Hello World of Blog

Well this is my very first post on my blog I am so very exciting to finally get caught up with rest of the world. I have wanted to start this blog for sometime but had a terrible time thinking of a name. I wanted to incorporate my daughter's name, something about scrapbooking because that is mostly what I am going to be talking about besides everyday family and life stuff. But I finally settled on Scrappily Ever After because it spin on the Happily ever after like in a fairy tale. I think my life had been quite the story thus far and scrapbooking gives me the happily ever after feeling when life just spins out of control. So, I am so glad that I can share my crafty talents on this blog. I hope you enjoy. I will post pictures, project and occationally an svg that I created. I recently got Sure cuts a lot for my birthday, so I am learning how to use it more efficently everyday. Well that's all for tonight!

Hope your day ends Scrappily Ever After ;)
